State Senator Andrew Chesney to Host Two FREE Document Shredding Events on June 21

State Senator Andrew Chesney (R-Freeport) is inviting residents of the 45th District to safely dispose of old bank records, receipts, and other documents at two free document shredding events that will be held on Saturday, June 21. A shred truck will be in Rockton from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, and in Roscoe from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. The truck will be on-site in the afternoon until 3:00 or until it has reached capacity.

“I am very pleased to be offering these free events for my constituents,” said Chesney. “I hope residents take the opportunity to safely and securely dispose of their sensitive documents at the event closest to their home.”

Participants are asked to follow traffic signs and remain in their vehicles. Shred truck staff will unload cars. Parking will be available for those who wish to see their documents fed into the shredder. While paper folders, staples and paper clips can be fed into the shredder, large binder clips, plastic file folders, and old floppy discs cannot be. Additionally, no electronics will be accepted for recycling or disposal.
