Senator Andrew Chesney to Host Traveling Office Hours Throughout 45th District

State Senator Andrew Chesney (R-Freeport) is hosting a series of traveling office hours events throughout the 45th Senate District this summer. The first events in the series will take place on Thursday, July 27, in South Beloit and Machesney Park.

“The 45th District is geographically large, and I recognize that it is not convenient for some constituents to travel to my Freeport office,” said Chesney. “Through these traveling office hours, I bring the services my office provides to my constituents in their own communities.”

Upcoming traveling office hours events are scheduled for the following dates and times:

  • July 27, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, South Beloit City Hall, 519 Blackhawk Blvd, Suite #2, S. Beloit
  • July 27, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Machesney Park Village Hall, 300 Roosevelt Road, Machesney Park
  • August 9, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Genoa City Hall, 333 E. First Street, Genoa
  • August 9, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Davis Junction Village Hall, 106 N. Elm Street, Davis Junction
  • August 16, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Oregon City Hall, 115 N. Third Street, Oregon
  • August 16, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Byron City Hall, 232 W. Second Street, Byron
  • August 24, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Roscoe Village Hall, 10631 Main Street, Roscoe
  • August 24, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Rockton Village Hall, 110 E. Main Street, Rockton

Just a few examples of the constituent services available include:

  • Firearms Identification and Concealed Carry delays/issues
  • Issues involving the Attorney General’s Office, the Office of Aging, the Department of Human Services, and the State Police
  • Transferring professional licenses from another state to Illinois
  • Secretary of State issues involving motor vehicles (DMV)
  • Veterans’ issues
  • Issues involving the State Board of Education or the Board of Higher Education

“These traveling office hours are open to all residents in the 45th District, and I would encourage anyone who is having an issue with state agencies to stop by and receive assistance from my dedicated staff,” added Chesney. “This includes those having issues with FOID cards and CCL licenses, professional licensing, and other issues.”
