In response to the verdict handed down in a New York City courtroom Thursday afternoon against President Donald Trump, State Senator Andrew Chesney (R-Freeport) has issued the following statement:
“The next President of the United States will be decided by the American people on November 5th and not by those who have weaponized our judicial system for political gain. Justice must be impartial and immune from political influence, and that simply was not the case in this trial against President Trump.”
