It was great to join the Northwestern Illinois Forage and Grassland Council for their annual meeting and spend time with the hardworking men and women who help drive our local economy.
During the meeting, I provided an update on what’s happening in Springfield, including ongoing legislative discussions and the direction our state is heading. More importantly, I had the opportunity to hear directly from attendees on the issues that matter most to them.
We had a productive conversation on topics like gerrymandering, farming and land use policies, and the impact of illegal immigration on our communities. These are real concerns that affect Illinois families and businesses across northwest Illinois.
I always appreciate the chance to connect with the people who keep our communities strong. Their input is critical as I continue working to represent the 45th District in Springfield.
