Camp Out with a Good Book Summer Reading Program
Students entering 1st through 6th grade are challenged to read 8 books over the course of the summer. Books over 200 pages may count as 2 books.
Once a student has completed the readings, please fill out the attached form and have a parent or guardian sign-off.
Completed forms should be sent to:
State Senator Andrew Chesney
50 West Douglas Street, Suite 1001
Freeport, IL 61032
Once Senator Chesney’s office collects all the completed forms, kids who successfully read 8 books will be sent an official certificate of recognition from the Illinois Senate and an invitation to an ice cream party. Brochures containing information about state resources and programs will also be provided.
Here you can find the Reading Program Brochure and Reading Log.
