Building Stronger Voter Engagement in the 45th District

This year’s primary election served as an important reminder that we all have a role to play in shaping the future of our communities.

In some counties across the 45th District, voter turnout showed there is still room for improvement. In Jo Daviess County, 19% of registered voters cast a ballot. Stephenson County reached 25%, while Winnebago County came in at 21%. Carroll County saw 24% turnout.

While every election brings out engaged and informed voters, these numbers show that too many voices are still missing from the process.

The good news is that we have the opportunity to change that.

Voting is one of the most direct ways we can make our voices heard and ensure our communities are represented. Whether it’s a primary or a general election, participation matters.

I encourage everyone across the 45th District to stay informed, stay engaged, and take part in the next election. Together, we can build a stronger, more active electorate.
